The Star Performance System™ is based on the repeated studies
that exceptional performance occurs when jobholders have workplace
perceptions that are similar to the employer/benchmarker.
Use of the Star Performance System process increases the potential
of hiring and placing the right person into the right job, working
with the right leader in the right organizational culture.

The Star Performance System assists organizations in surfacing
and utilizing information, which can unleash the natural capabilities
of the people in the organization.
This is how the process works:
- A four-part inventory is used to identify variance among four
major work components: job or task requirements; work behavior;
leadership style; and organizational culture.
- The process begins with benchmarking each position. The leader
or star performer of each position responds to the four-part
Star Performance Inventory to record the expectations required
of the job or task, work behavior, organizational culture and
actual leadership style of the person supervising that position.
The results presented in a Benchmark Report provide quantitative
measurement of the specific expectations for the four work components,
which result in 24 performance unit scores in six performance
- Candidates for a position or current employees respond to
the four-part Star Performance Inventory to record their preferences
for a job or task, leadership style, organizational culture,
and their actual work behavior. The input is compared to the
benchmark created for the specific position. The results presented
in a Comparative Analysis Report provide quantitative measurement
of their preferences against the specific expectations established
by the benchmark for the four work components which result in
24 performance unit scores in six performance zones.
